Biographical Notes:


Judith A. Ripps has practiced law in financial and securities work, as well as employment law, for more than 30 years.

An experienced litigator, Ms. Ripps gained her expertise as a partner, and earlier as an associate, of an international Wall Street law firm, where she was responsible for complex litigations pending in federal and state courts throughout the United States.

In 1990, she relocated to Boca Raton as counsel in the Florida office of a large upstate New York law firm. She has expanded her expertise into the emerging area of employment law, including employment counseling, and sexual, age, disability and racial discrimination claims.

A former partner with Harnett Lesnick & Ripps since 1993, she has represented clients before federal and state courts, arbitration panels and federal and state governmental agencies. In 2009, Judith formed her own firm of Judith A. Ripps, P.A., devoting more of her practice to service as a neutral.

Judith A. Ripps is the past Chairperson of the Federal Court Advisory Committee for Mediation for the Southern District of Florida, and has served on the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. Ms. Ripps was selected as Chairperson of the Florida Advisory Committee on Mediation to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida for over 10 years, where she advised on the practices and procedures governing mediation practice in Federal Court. She has extended her personal and professional contributions to the Courts of the Southern District of Florida for the encouragement of conflict resolution. She mediates on a full-time basis all types of civil and commercial disputes.
